I spent some of the day with my brother, sister in law and their baby yesterday. Took this shot as they were about to go. He did smile after but this shot was more interesting for me....

FA 55-110 at 98mm f/8 1/125 ISO 800

I cropped in to check the sharpness and found it quite interesting, it's almost as if he is saying: "I'm watching you!"

Back in a familiar spot yesterday evening. This is HDR as I struggled to get exposure balance as exposing for the sky meant a very dark foreground. FA 55-110 at f/13

I used to come to the Lake District just for walking, but then caught the camera bug. Here's a few from the Rydal area (famous for its association with William Wordsworth)

FA 33-55 at 33mm HDR due to huge dynamic range of building in partial shadow and bright sky f/13 aperature

A tighter shot with the FA 55-110, again a HDR aperture was f/11 shot at 60mm

Pelter Bridge and the river rothay, shot with FA33-55 at 33mm f/11 and HDR with ND400

Different perspective on same shot at f/16 and single shot at 39mm and 30 sec exposure

Quite tough to shoot when you are on a kayak, isn't it? I got one, too, but am afraid to drown with my 645D or 67II.

Ha, I hadn't seen that little tidbit - that's a great combination of activities!

Reminds me, one of the first photos that amazed me when I first got on flickr is a color pinhole taken in a canoe. Lemme see if I can find it... it's by a Wayne Mackeson, using a zero image 6x9 pinhole and slide film.

Now, if I can do sort of everything at this minimal area, you could do it too. If you want to, that is.
Thank you Makten for this encouragement. Yes, I do want to... which is why I bought all the chemicals, a drum, old school timer, etc. I have a kitchen no bigger than yours. So maybe if I can keep everything out of the way of the cats I can give it a shot. Where do you hang your strips? I was figuring the shower stall, actually. Run some shot water first to kill the dust.

I doubt there was more than 10 stops in the scene. That's not huge. And a little accent black doesn't hurt to have. I was just out today in bright sun and didn't measure more than that in similar situation with my one-degree.

Missed Sunrise

I was on the way to the island, saw the amazing light, exited the highway and looped around... Needless to say, I went home happy after that...

That's a beauty! But, please, tell me, that these colours come from post production.
