Today we took a trip to U-do island (U-do is the korean word for cow, and the isaland has this name as it is shaped like cow), and had a lovely sunny day walking up the main hill on the island. I've never really considered macro photography before, but find myself considering the Pentax 645 FA 120 macro lens which I have heard really god things of. Yesterday it was the spider, today the 'praying' mantis's turn for the spotlight:

This sweet little girl was sat in front of us on the boat from a ride on a submarine that allows you to see fish below the surface. The children were given starfish at the end of the trip and her dad had been teasing her about the starfish and she was feeling sad because she thought that the starfish was sick. Myself and a colleague were sat behind with a korean colleague and we had a friendly exchange with her parents who were comfortable with me taking her photo.
