I was in Warsaw at the beginning of the month and had some time off before my flight back to the UK. So I took a wander around the streets.

Across from my hotel was the unknown soldier memorial

In the old town there were rows of rebuilt old houses:

We found this very poignant memorial to the many boy soldiers who fought in the 3 month long siege that started on 1st August 1944 as the Russians watched from outside the city
