Been awhile since I shot film on MF, and I finally got another roll developed.

Pretty happy with the 'scan' using a K5 (just took 10mins to do 12 frames)

Wishing you a great holiday season. We got snow on the 23 and it will stay with us for the 25th. From a 645D and 55mm, two frame stitch, and surviving a wet, heavy snow...

The horizon is all fire from our Sun, and the rocks are illuminated by our Moon.

Overlooking Frenchmans Bay from Schoodic Point. Cadillac mountain is the highest point on Mount Desert Island and tallest mountain on the eastern seaboard north of Rio de Jeneiro.

I had not worked with E100G before and this was my one shot of this composition. Glad my instincts were working.

Pentax 67 55mm @ f/8 8 minutes exposure on Kodak E100G film.

Great image, nightfly! At first I thought this was taken with the 645D.

Beautiful shot. Interesting how the atmospheric filter is revealing only those celestial objects with a bright enough apparent magnitude.

That first image - stunning! So, you develop yourself. What do you use for the TMAX 400? I am asking as I wanna start developing myself to save money and have more control. The TMAX 100/400 are my favourite films.

i don't develop film myself, that's why i'm asking this : Why over exposing the film @1600 iso and developping it @800 iso ?

I use Tmax developer @ 1+4 and use the standard procedure with agitation every 30 seconds. I have only tried D-76 and Rodinal (Fomadon R09) before, and I didn't get as good results then. Rodinal is nice, but gives a boost to the midtones that doesn't really fit what I want to get. D-76 on the other hand is a bit "muddy" but a bit more forgiving when it comes to high contrast scenes.

ISO 1600 is two stops underexposure, but since you can still dig out very much in the shadows when scanning, developing for 800 (+1 stop) works fine. This also means that you can expose for 400-1600 on the same roll of film with decent results. Developing further will only increase contrast since it won't do anything more to the shadows if you don't use a special developer or stand development (which often gives uneven development across the frames).
When it's dark I just expose as high as possible and don't use the meter at all, since it will be fooled by point lights anyway. Down to 1/30 second is fairly safe with the Bessa.

I was in Warsaw at the beginning of the month and had some time off before my flight back to the UK. So I took a wander around the streets.

Pentax 645D FA 33- 55 at f/8 and 39mm 1/50 ISO 640 handheld converted in silver efex

Across from my hotel was the unknown soldier memorial

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/16 0.8 secs converted in silver efex

In the old town there were rows of rebuilt old houses:

FA 33-55 at 48mm f/16 0.3 exposure concerted in silver efex

and with the FA 120 at f/11 and 1/6

We found this very poignant memorial to the many boy soldiers who fought in the 3 month long siege that started on 1st August 1944 as the Russians watched from outside the city

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/11 0.5 secs
