I don't shoot in MF as much as I'd like to but here is a couple from my collection using the 645D with the DFA 55mm

This one is made up of 7 x 1 images. (I've already had one request for a printout at 20x70)

Thanks. Same day I took this and posted before but I've re-processed it with a newer workflow and cropped.

The analog to digital conversion requires a LOT of human touch for best results in my case with my gear. And the many steps between scanning and final presentation has changed more than once over the course of some years. So I was saying here is a repost that I re-scanned and processed differently than before.

Interesting. Care to show the picture of the first post with the "old" workflow to see the difference?

I'd have to dig it out of a Time Machine backup. All old versions were replaced by new version files and Flickr updated. I scan a DNG file, open in LR, export to CS5 which generates a PSD file and back to LR to generate the JPG. That adds up close to 500MB per scan for my usual 2000spi scan instead of a 4000spi option. So I don't keep unnecessary scans around if I don't have to.

Back in the English Lake District:

On my way up Loughrigg again, looking towards High Street

Pentax 645D FA 120mm f/16

Having run out of battery power rather too often on long exposures, I got hold of a battery pack and bought a Pentax AC adaptor (although why Pentax charge £140 for this when they sell it in US for $100 makes me a bit niggled). My first attempt at dusk completely overexposed on a 35 minute exposure, and bulb work is often hit and miss which made me grateful for the battery pack! I messed up this shot by kicking the tripod in the last 10 minutes of a 45 minute exposure, but found it interesting how rather than being lit by the moon rising over Loughrigg fell, it could easily have been an afternoon shot:

Pentax 645D FA 33 - 55 at f/9.5 33mm and 45 minutes ISO 400

Along the valley there is a tree that always interests me. The tree is dead but has hatched another tree within its bark. I wanted to use 2 Pentax 540 flashes to isolate the tree but the area around it was completely waterlogged so I had to content myself with my fairly bright torch. This was my test shot, to check focus as it was pitch dark and AF wouldn't function.

Pentax 645D FA 75 @ f/11 30 secs, ISO 1600

I then took the main shot, and here they are in colour and black and white (converted in Silver efex Pro2

Pentax 645D FA 75 f/13 17 minutes, lit with torch for 4 minutes

B&W

A disappointingly damp day in the Lakes today. So not much walking or phototaking done today. This is the main route through Ambleside at dusk:

pentax 645D FA 33-55 f/16 30 seconds ISO 100

Rather fine portraits. Were you utilizing a natural light source from say a window?

Thank you Tuco. Yes, window light, I am no stobist! Maybe one day after I've improved on my basics, I'll start experimenting with strobes. For now there is so much to learn and explore with natural light.
