On my calibrated screen, it still has a very purple hue to it and appears pretty dark.
I appreciate the comments on my Canyonlands photo. I took this shot after stepping over the guard rail protecting us from that breath-taking drop-off. It was early pre-dawn so colors were distorted and rather dark to my natural eyes. Thanks for the comments about the colors, as this is the difficult part of this image. Velvia normally has a bit of a magenta cast, but in this case the scanning professional thought it had some extra magenta from the developing, something he tried to correct for.

As I said, I'm not completely satisfied with everything. I'm very excited that I have a nice, large, 16-bit, malleable file from the drum scan; the original, 8-bit scan gave me minimal ability to adjust things.

In this photo, I really like having the shadows deep, as I want the image to be about the highlights. I've considered taking them a little darker, leaving suggestions of texture in the plateau. That is what is so nice about having a quality scan.

I agree that there may still be too much magenta, although in the Canyonlands at dawn, the purple of the plateau is somewhere between reality and a color cast.

Great photographs, Itshimitis! How in the world do you have so much time to go all over the world in pursuit of images? I go to work before dawn and usually get home after sunset, so I guess I'm envious!

Thank you! I'm fortunate enough to work at some thing that I love that pays incredibly well and gives me a chance to travel. Sometimes I have time to see things other times less so, but I always try and grab a moment even if it involves not sitting down to a lunch and having to grab something on the move

Thank you, about the camera; It's a Certo Dollina, I believe it's from 1936. It's made by a manufacturer from Dresden, Germany.

The weather has been fantastic today and not too bad over the weekend.

I often walk around the Rydal valley and brave the stepping stones known as Rydal steps. This is a shot about 15 minutes after sun down

I like the style of the large houses at Under Loughrigg. The lakeland stone really adds character and with the Fairfield horseshoe as backdrop this is one f my favourites:

A traditional white washed cottage is opposite it:

Finally, I was back at my regular location on the banks of Elterwater as the light disappeard over the Langdale Pikes:

They look the very paradigm of HOME, the sort of place we all imagine.

Trying out new Lightroom 4 on a shot I had trouble scanning the first time and never bothered. It got over-cooked in Rodinal while trying a new agitation profile. That and the high value I placed the brown sand to make it more white made for difficulties. Shot 400 film due to the wind and moving branches. I guess the new curve adjustments in LR4 did okay.

New to the 645D, was out road testing it last week, with a bunch of A lenses i picked up from Ebay, have to say totally impressed with the camera and the older lenses.

Ok can anyone assist, how do i link a picture into here from my Flickr account ? i see others have done it , i thought it was as simple as grabbing the share data in Flickr and dropping it in..
Obviously not..

will search the forums for the answer meanwhile : EDIT... Many thanx Tuco :-)

I like especially this shot.
Incredible result for a 3200!
Remain so good even at bigger resolution?

On some other shoot, as for example this one:

i see some sign, perhaps some one could give some tips for avoid similar problem, or at least minimize and resolve during postwork.

Some architecture. Sometimes I took my Pentax with me when I go to work. I find it still a challenge to look for good pictures in your daily environment.

P67 45mm @ f/22 Kodak T-Max 400 developed in Xtol.

Very blustery with winds threatening to take me, the tripod, and camera away!
