We have a Bougainvillaea tree in our garden for 10 years and never seen its flowers this nice ..

Another lovely shot Ryan....and yes, those roots are surreal. The tree and surroundings looks like a difficult subject to frame. I assume you tried capturing it in a number of different ways?

Fantastic and truly impressive shots....both of them! The FA 150mm f2.8 is my favorite Pentax 645 lens for portraits. As good and as sharp as the Fa 120 macro is, the 150mm f2.8 has the right amount of sharpness for portraits without being too sharp. The images it produces, has a "roundness" to them and thats why it makes this lens ideal for the type of images you posted. Lovely!

Thank you...just took it this morning, then ran home and started processing in hopes I got something worthwhile!

+1! Agree completely with Abdallah on the lighting and sunburst. I also love the symmetry of the image from le to right, including the wooden posts and how the sand/ground makes a perfect dip in the middle as though it's parting the way for the rising sunlight. Great image all around, Ryan!

Congrats on a posting. Any effort is better than no effort at all when it comes to posting. It looks like you used a colored filter as well, perhaps? What lenses do you have with your M7II kit?

Great eye tuco. Yes, I did use an Orange filter (I believe a B&W). I will edit and add that detail to the post.

I only have 2 lenses. The 80mm f4 anf the 150mm f4.5.

Hmmmm......will not allow me to edit that original post.

More photo details:
3 vertical photos was taken about 8 am on May 20 with tripod (infinity / f8 / 1 sec). I did minor edit in Lightroom (small sharpness, curve). Then joined the 3 photos and resized in Photoshop.

This was shot using my Pentax 67 with my 90/2.8 leaf shutter lens mounted in reverse directly to the body via the 67mm reverse adapter. Film used was original expired Fujichrome Velvia RVP and exposure was 15 seconds at f/16 IIRC.
