velvia 100 film are the colors really like this or it is the way it was scanned?

also, can you suggest a scanner that is less than $200 (or should i make a new thread to ask about it)
Velvia 100 doesn't look like that in any of the formats I've shot it in.

For $200, the Canon 8800F is a good bet...My friend has one. There may be a newer model now. The Epson Perfection 4990 is also a good one to find used for around that price.

Enough with the incredible vistas over snow-covered mountains! Let's get out to the garage!

P 67 with a Takumar 135mm Macro 1/30 f8 | Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 shot at 64 iso Rodinal 1 to 50 for 10 minutes. Love the tones this film yields.

Finally had my last roll from last summer developed! After 3 weeks of travelling through Norway, I ran out of my Fuji Provia rolls, so for the last shots I had to change to Kodak TMX 100.....

A couple from the 645N - Ilford HP5

There are so many great photos in this thread that it is with some trepidation that I post some of my own. My children gave me a 645N for Christmas - a great gift for sure. I had the Pentax 645A 80-160 mm F4.5 already, but it fits better on the 645N than it does on the K-5, as it is rather heavy.

Anyway - these two are from one of my first outings with the new (to me) camera at the beginning of January 2013.

Old road leading down to the Sound (between Denmark and Sweden) - HP5+ 1/180 @ F8.0 - Sweden is barely visible in the mist.

The vignetting stems from a round generic hood that works fine when the lens is used on the K-5, but is too narrow for the wide end when the lens is used on the P645N. I don't think is matters much on this image, however, but I have since bought a new, more open hood. :-)

Nivaa - a small stream in the vicinity of the Sound - HP5+ 1/500 @ F9.5

A couple from the P6x7 - Ilford HP5+

Here's two from my daughter's wedding - I am pretty impressed with the great latitude of B&W film. This was taken against the sun (hidden behind a cloud, but still).

Both S-M-C Takumar 67 75mm F4.5 at F5.6 (I think) on Ilford HP5+.

Old Norwegian churches - Pentax 6x7 - S-M-C Takumar 67 75mm F4.5

Thanks, henkvanzuylen

Here are some more with the Pentax 6x7 - S-M-C Takumar 67 75mm F4.5 combo - taken in Norway last Easter:

The old church in Gaupne, Western Norway (built 1647) - HP5+ 1/250 sec. @ F8:

Urnes stave church: The northern portal is from an older church built on the same spot around 1060-70 - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F8:

The wood carvings on the northern portal with very distinctive animal art date back to around 1060-70 and are known as the "Urnes style" - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F8:

Urnes stave church built around 1130-40 - one of the oldest of its kind and still stands at its original location. - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F8:

Urnes stave church from above - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F6.7 - the fiord below is the Luster fiord branching off from the Sogne fiord - the second longest fiord in the world:

Kaupanger Stave Church from the 12th century (probably 1190) and situated on the ruins of two previous post churches. - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F11:

Kaupanger Stave Church - HP5+ 1/500 sec. @ F9.5:

Thanks, Rense. I can see from a previous post that you have been to Norway with your Pentax 6x7, too. Nice shots from Trondheim. :-)
