After the storm.
Yashica 24
Expired FP4 pulled to 100ISO.

Unfortunately it's not completely straight, but I had no tripod and had to balance on the sea wall. Shortly afterwards the shutter broke, which I am a bit gutted about. Lessons - don't be lazy and bring yr tripod - and tread 50 year old cameras with respect...

Oh, and any tips as to how to darkroom print this? I had to really pull back on the highlights in lightroom to get the details of the sea in.

Interesting piece (and beautiful images). I definitely hear you on the need to feel connected with the gear (or maybe it's being connected through your gear to the act of creating images). That, along with the look of the images, is one of the reason I've be gravitating more toward film lately. I haven't shot with a range of systems but I can totally imagine what you describe -- a top-end camera that produces great results but still leaves you cold.

Damn, since I have to take my work laptop with me to Edinburgh I can't fit a medium format SLR or TLR. So, I'm going to take my Franka Solida III, though I haven't film tested it yet so it's a risk...
