Well, I was crawling down a ledge to a beach in Santa Cruz last night when the embedded rock I was gripping became unembedded and I fell off the ledge...a short fall thankfully, but I broke a toe and banged up my gear yadda yadda. The pain in my foot was too much for me to concentrate on photos, so I sat around to watch a lovely sunset and then made the long hike back up to Highway 1 in the dark, tail between my legs.

But, I did dig out this shot from last week that was still on the camera and I processed it as if I did not come away empty handed...

Mighty fine shot (of one of my favorites places!). Hope you're on the mend soon.

I'm going to be in the States for a month in May and have deliberately kept some days free at the end to drive up the PCH....

If the mk II/645D 2014 is out by then, temptation will be too much!

They say you need to suffer for your art....

Hope you get better soon, and still manage to hobble around a little to take some photos.

Photos from my trip to Japan, unfortunately the theme of this trip was plain featureless overcast sky.

Edit... I decided to crop the sky out.

thanks, i originally processed it as a Black & White, thinking the actual colors might be too much.

Ya know, I'm not entirely sure. The film was sitting in my camera for so long I even forgot the film speed. I THINK it was portra 400 but I'm relatively new to shooting film and can't pick out the nuances of each film (it must say on the negatives?). I just had the local camera shop scan the negatives (at that resolution) so I could see if I wanted to get high quality scans.

certainly look like Portra color... but you are lucky that local camera store can perform good scanning..

I agree. Though they can't scan that large. There is a drum scanning place nearby though I haven't tested them out yet. At $10 a scan I need to make sure I pick the right ones.
