What 67 are you shooting. I shoot the 67ii and have found the meter quite Accurate and the build in spot meter quite good too.
I seem to recall the metering prism for the older 67 bodies not being quite as accurate.
Old film advise on negative film was to expose for the shadows and develop for the highlights, because of the nonlinear response curve of film.
Btw, i think most pro labs will do push/pull processing, I know the one I use in Copenhagen offer it at least.
