Learning curve yes! I wouldn't suggest a first-time Velvia user to use it to take wedding pictures!

Nice photos!! Old 6x7s will last forever if taken care of, the two that I'm using were originally parts cameras, now complete and like brand new!

Thanks for the comments on my snowy lake shot. I prefer my 67's over 4x5 and 35mm. Been using the 67's for 26 years now.

I have the 645Z since one week and now am in Venice to do some first shots. FA300/5.6 and D-FA90.

I much prefer the film photos, but it seems to me the influx of people with new 645Zs is much higher than the influx of people with new 645Ds a few years back. I get the impression that the Z is really a big step forward in digital MF.

Thanks! I have indeed been using all of the above, as well as selecting lower contrast scenes to begin with. There is detail and color in the deep shadows (easily visible on the film) that my scanning technique didn't capture so well. Agreed that having detail everywhere in the frame is overrated.

I wouldn't say overrated, but more of a distraction.

had my 645z+28-45mm lens for a couple of weeks, have to say this is an incredible combo. Lens is a tad rich for some but boy oh boy is it sharp. worth the money if you can find value in it.

Today they lighted up the facade for me ;-)

Portrait of one of my best friends, shot with an old Lubitel, made by Lomo. Some swirly bokeh action going on! Im surprised by how sharp it is, even wide open it wasn't bad at all. This shot's somewhere around 5.6 though, iirc.
The viewfinder however is the worst one known to mankind, composing a shot with your eyes closed is easier than using that thing

Shot on Tri-X, dev'd in HC-110. First time I used HC-110, but I quite like this combo
