Another image taken at the Valley of the Temples in Oahu, Hawaii. High ISO check in Aper. Priority. at F/18.... Now mind you, Not only do I shoot in RAW 99.9% of the time, I also shoot in Manual most of the time as well. The one exception, street photography and landscapes. My main focus has always been people photography,,,Weddings, Portraits etc. With the 645Z (which I found to be Wonderful for Portraits and Formals at Weddings) Im now working more and more on Landscape photograpy and loving it. Didnt realize its harder than I though. But Progressing every day.

I think you're taking the over-exposed look way too far. Portra and 400H are even better at their nominal speeds, in my opinion.

If you mean my toad-foto - thank you very much! It is not easy to take a close up photo of croaking toad. Normally, toads stop croaking or they even dive away, when a much bigger "animal" comes as close as a photographer with a Macro lens and extension tube does. In addition, I had to enter into a small creek, that was normally used for washing the huge, buffalo-like cows of the indian farmers. In order to get close enough to this toad for taking a good photo, the muddy water reached my belly.

Thanks, yeah, I can see this Portra 160 is not as "flexible" as Portra 400. But the skin tone rendering is different between 160 and 400.
I have seen really good skin tone rendering from 160 than 400.

This is my first Portra 160 roll.... will try to shot a roll in 'golden hours' and see how it goes.

yes Fritzanpapa, I meant your toad. I know how hard it is to do that kind of work and what you need to go through to get it. Its part of what makes it so special.

Keeping the ISO low is something I simply like to do, I understand that at times an image is actually better with a higher ISO, but I have such a hard time bring it up. With this camera, Im not so much afraid anymore, but still, the Image I am posting is with an ISO of 100, at f/8 and a shutter speed of 1/10, and oh yes, I used a tripod, Took awhile to get all the sand off. 1/10 actually seemed fast, and the hula dancer was great whenever I said,,,,,"Hold that". I cropped the photo for her as well, of just the Head and shoulders, its amazing how much 51.4 MP on a Medium Format can retain. So far.... loving this camera. Sunset in Waikiki.

Hi 672, nice images. And I am not sure why the images looks not sharp enough when I view them on my PC (like a little out of focus kind of unsharp). They looks sharp when viewing on my phone though.

Maybe it is my monitor though. ..maybe is some kind of auto resize used in my browser?
