Thank you Arnold! Don't worry, there are still another 5990 km of the Great Wall that you could visit.

At least this Sunday's shoot with some snow, completed my own task to have photos of all the 4 seasons of the year from this part of The Great Wall (JinShanLing). It only took me 3 years to have the opportunity to do it on a non-working day with snow. After this task I also could add the dimensions of different time in the day, and/ or different wheater for shooting.

Thank you Susan!

Words like that makes it worth freezing and climbing the steep wall and mountains.

Got up at 5.30 this morning to make the 1 hr drive to Llantwit Major on the Heritage Coast of South Wales. The forecast was for clear weather, but I was hoping for a little bit of interest in the sky - it being clearer meant I would need to get there at least an hour before sunrise to get the best light. Sunrise time coincided with high tide. The tide rises VERY quickly here and I got my feet wet a few times. Wearing Goretex ankle boots, but the water went over the top. I do have wellington boots, but they take too long to put on, especially in the dark.

I picked a location where the Col Huw river meets the sea.

Thanks. Not focus stacked. All single images apertures between f/14 and f/22 and focussed around a third way in to the frame.

645 focussing

Thanks again....will try on my new 645Z....I have had focussing issues on landscapes as MF is new to me.....but seems like your focussing 'rule' of a third into the frame is similar to 35mm....FYI Guy Aubertin seems to use stacking often on his 645 landscape work...

Excellent that you managed to find a quiet spot on the Wall....its usually crowded!...only one more shooter in frame 2 with his tripod!....all very atmospheric in the grey and snow.
