Wow, those are wonderful!

Very artistic.

Great shots to everyone, also.

That's a very pretty guitar!

I was in the music biz as a working musician for a long time. I imagine there are quite a few musical types who have the photography bug.

How is this 2 shots? Focus stacking or background first?

Thanks,

Susan

thanks. I shot the background with a somewhat dark guitar, then got in close to the guitar with flash and a reflector to light it evenly. Used the background from the first shot without all the lighting in the way.

two from Castlerigg Stone Circle in the Lake District with the 28 -45 and the Z. Need to make a decision as to when to send the lens in for repair and what to do while it is away. I have had a quote for a hire while I am away in Australia and New Zealand for two weeks next month, but that's about £600. Wondering whether to buy a second copy and sell this copy when it's back as good as new...

Perhaps for half the rental cost the repair place could prioritise your lens and get it back to you in time? Might be worth asking.

I suspect that the lens will need to go to Japan.

Nice images, How do you find the FA300 on the Z, ill be looking at getting a telephoto lens soon for mine.
Hi Thomas.

Yes the 300 is nice but I find it difficult to get the most out of it due to the shutter on the Z and the imbalance of it all. I had the 300/4 but sold it due to the weight and it was not all that good at f4 so why have it.

I posted that photo of the Z+300/5.6 on facebook on your post last week.

Which is better at say f/5.6?

I see lenses a bit like sports cars. Just because it can do 200mph doesn't mean you have to. I don't get the obsession with shooting wide open. Occasionally it has a use but only occasionally.
