Amazing shots Itshimitis. Your shot "Last light in the Eglington Valley" is my particular favourite - just stunning. I have seen that view, but never in light like that. And for you to capture it with such a long exposure, as the light was fading (meaning that the 'correct' exposure reading would have changed a lot within the duration of the shot) makes it all the more impressive. Very envious!
Thanks Ed, when I started the shot it was already pretty dark - I couldn't see to frame at all, so just as well I took a shot a little earlier at higher ISO. I could see the colour and had just driven through some mist and would have like to have shot through it but another camper van had parked in a lay-by and would have been in the way of a shot. I delayed my trip down the other day because the road was closed until mid morning and then the coach loads went through, and one thing you don't want there is people in your shot!
For me it's the journey to Milford Sound that makes a trip to Milford particularly special. Milford is special in itself, but coach loads of people kind of miss the whole journey, It's a fantastic road. Difficult it drive in places (especially if like me you have been driving less than 2 years and the first time in a big camper van!) but very special...

A couple more from today at Queenstown. I fly to Sydney from here so will be at the mercy of Jetstar's baggage handlers due to their measly 7kg hand baggage limit. I will stuff my coat pockets with lenses (my coat has big pockets and wrap what I must check in amongst clothes.
More evening colour:
3 min 30 exposure with FA 45 - 85
8 minute exposure
