I bought a Hoya R72 filter.
When nice blue sky you get it pretty dark.

I found best results are achieved when mix of items that reflect infrared (trees, grass, ...) with items that do not reflect IR like a road or a building.

Need to find time to go into the darkroom and see what the printed results are like.

I think I see a better filter in my future. Comparing to this shot that I shared a while back in one of the film threads, I can see more contrast in yours. I like the way the undersides of the leaves look.

Great pix...but sad to see those old PV's...444 and 544...rotting away. Years ago I owned a '62 Volvo PV 544 with a B18s engine. Wish I still had one.

A misplaced scan from this past winter. I can't wait for winter! I think I just like the light better. I like the clouds in the summer, but winter light is my favorite. Low angle, more red, less haze I don't know.

Pentax 645, 45mm? maybe 80-160@80mm? Kodak Portra 400.

1969: SUPER-TAKUMAR/6x7 1:2.4/105,
1971: Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR/6x7 1:2.4/105
or
1989: smc PENTAX 67 1:2.4 105mm?
I'm into the buying proces for a 105mm or a 90m(LS?) and gathering reviews from "real" users. I'm not a pixel peeper so a lot of info could be gathered from this very nice forum.
Thanks!
The 1971, Super-Multi-Coated 6x7

I have a copy of this lens. However, how does one determine which version it is? Or, what part number corresponds to the latest version?

Apparently the latest version is the sharpest?

Thanks,
Phil

If it says Super-Multi-Coated and 6x7 it is 1971, if it says SMC 67 it is the newest.

About the sharpness I have no idea. I find mine to be really sharp and detailed used on my 6x7.

I like the sea to sky ratio in these.

I haven't posted for a while. I've been shooting a mixed bag of cameras lately. But here are few from the trusty Pentax 67 with a 67 55/4, 105/2.4 and a WLF.

Shot this scene last year too. But this year I came armed with a wider lens this time.

The 105 Super Takumar used Thorium glass but all the newer versions did not. There were only 2 optically different versions of the lens (Super Takumar and the rest). Both versions were very sharp and could make 24 X 30 inch prints with ease.
