Interesting photo - changing a blade at a remote site! I trust they will do a full dynamic balance of the new assembly
The aircraft is an Aerospatiale AStar (Écureuil), each rotors are attached by 2 pins, and are indexed such that they can be removed and reinstalled without any change to the rotor balance. I spent a previous life hanging out of one of those tweaking geophysical instruments, and we regularly took the blades off to push the aircraft into the hanger.

Don't know what the payload is though, you'll have to ask 672. Our birds never looked that nice...

Yes thanks, I was aware it's a Squirrel (Écureuil), though not that it had such great easy maintenance re the rotor

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes I think it uses almost all the DR available at 100 iso with the Z. Liveview histogram when shooting showed some slight red clipping of the highlights and I bumped it up a little further to ensure shadow detail as I wasn't too concerned about a little loss of highlight information as my eyes could not see that information at the time as it was too bright above the mountain on the left of the frame. Mike the lovely light was why I stopped to take his photo and as such was none of my doing, just glad to have captured it in some manner. You are right about how it popped the texture.

Street photos with 645Z

Hi!

Here are some of my first 645Z photos. Beijing Photo Walks arranged a photo walk in one of the HuTongs. A great opportunity to try my new camera.

That's masterful - love the composition and the classic monochrome look.
