Bokeh with the 120mm FA. I have seen comments that acknowledge the sharpness of the 120, but consider the bokeh somewhat harsh. Here is an example I consider lovely. No PS other than curves and a bit of vibrance, this is how this tree (Japanese Maple?) looks.

Tom

wow - rich vibrant colours!

FYI, I don't shoot to preserve the original scene!

In order of appearance:

1) Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan
Taken at about 3pm. Added sunset glow in Photoshop

2) Meadow along rail line from Techumseh to Clinton, Michigan
Taken at about 2 pm on a overcast day on a moving train at about 15 MPH. Added overall fall sunset feel in Photoshop.

3) Second shot after #2 shot above
Same details. Taken about one second apart.

4) Flag at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan
Cropped to about 5% of original photo size. Re-angled the flag post for dramatic effect.

5) Three photo composite of Ty Cobb statue from Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan

6) Lake Huron beach at Oscoda, Michigan
It was a little windy!

Lovely. I love all the bird's nests peeking out in the winter bare trees.
