Lovely. I love all the bird's nests peeking out in the winter bare trees.
Thank you!
Actually these are all mistletoe parasite plants in the trees.

Ohhhh... ugh I hate that stuff. Quite a bit of it in the evergreen forests around these parts. I'm going to go ahead and pretend they're still birds nests.

So I just got back from a three-week roadtrip around the Four Corners part of the U.S. One of the cameras I took was my 6X7 (supported by my K-3, K-7, LK, K1000, and Alpha 9.) The 6X7 broke on the last day (hopefully Eric can fix it), but some of the shots it took before that turned out. I haven't digitized the black and white, but the photo lab got the color shots back pretty quickly.

Arches National Park, Kodak Ektar 100

Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert (various films, listed with the image.), but first some more with Ektar

One with Portra 400

Lomo Color Negative 800

Yeah, I know. I didn't expect the Lomo to look like that, either.

Rollei CR200

The biggest disappointment for me was the Fuji Provia 100. I don't know what happened, but the rest of the slide film (so far) turned out well. Only one shot on the roll didn't look overexposed by two or three stops.

When the astrophotography and ghost town shots are scanned and edited, I'll post some more.

The lines are from my scanner. Not sure what happened there.

Sgurr Nan Gillean, II

The impressive shape of Sgurr Nan Gillean, one of the Cuillin's peaks, stands proud behind Allt Dearg Mor, a tributary to River Sligachan on the Isle of Skye. Using a long exposure to shape the clouds and the water and choosing Black & White perfectly conveyed the mood I was after when seeing this scene on location.

With the Pentax 645z and the 28-45mm f/4.5. Best,

Vieri

Great shot, and great vision to capture and PP that way. The long exposure worked with those clouds.

Agreed. What happened with no 2 though? some problem with the scan? Some real criss cross going on there...

Lovely images however I wondered about #2 as well.
Nope - no problem with scan... It was intentional.

Bingo. Nailed it.

Some really nice stuff. Really like the first truck silhouette. What happened to the 67? That's a bummer. (and... do you think you brought enough cameras? )

That's great stuff. I've done a couple short shoots with continuous lighting and I think I'm going to go that way permanently - borrowing nice and tiny 3point LED kit from a friend for a while in a week or so to have a go. So much easier to control is my initial reaction.

Constant light is a little trickier than it appears but then again no sync speed issues

Well, I didn't use the K-7 (it tagged along on accident.) I had four tripods (so I do four cameras worth of astrophotography at once) but only had one clear night the whole time. So that kind of hurts how many good samples I'll have for my article series, and probably pushes the last one or two articles out until next spring.

The 6X7 started, randomly, overlapping frames and not engaging the advance mechanism until halfway through the stroke. But it got progressively worse. So it was taking 10 strokes or more to get the film from loaded to the first frame. Then it was overlapping frames edge-to-edge, but only advancing them halfway. So that's a mess. At least I could limp through the trip by putting the lens cap on and taking a dead frame every other shot to maintain alignment.
