Thanks very much Mike!

Here's one from the plane window. Will try and pick an arrival time at twilight in the future to get more detail, but I still think this turned out ok...

I took my new Z out inches above this smelly, stinky muddy cornfield. So glad I didn't fall in.

Thanks Mike

Closer to home, went to one of my local haunts as the evening started. Between the first shot and the last is 40 minutes. The tide is on its way out and moves very quickly. When it's a rising tide, you have to have your wits about you, as it comes in as quickly and swirls behind you if you aren't watching...

Another couple from earlier:

Again with Pentax 645Z and D-FA 35 f/3.5

The first demonstrates dynamic range quite nicely. In order not to blow out the moon and ensure that while still bright, that it still has detail, I underexposed by 3 stops and then recovered in PSCC, also using a digital grad in Color Efex.

I decided to go down to the local carnival the other night. I grabbed the 645Z + A35 and decided to go no tripod.. something I don't do often with the Z. I also decided to try the IR picture style + .dng (just incase). I was super impressed with how they came up straight out of the camera. I know its only a picture style.. I had fun with it. :-)

Tom, great shots.
I think Pentax have it all wrong, the new primes should have OS and the big zooms like the 28-45 should not and be left for tripod use.

This would make the 645 system so much more versatile.

Imagine a highly corrected OS 35mm f4 or 28 f4, a 55f4 OS and a 120f4 OS. What a great travel handheld kit.

Instead they put the OS on the largest lenses that you would not want to hand hold at a fair anyway.

I agree, The 35mm focal length is great for street work. I was thinking the same things regarding OS in the bulky 28-45 lens... most people wouldn't hand hold that monster for too long anyway.

I have seen similar shots in North America but the buildings are newer and it is only after flooding and severe storms. I think amazing construction techniques and materials knowledge that went into this could be taught to modern builders in flood prone areas if they can`t go to higher ground.

Feeling good enough today to go for a little photo walk by myself with the 645D. Just a quick one close to home but it was nice to be out! The snow came this week!
