A few shots taken lately.
1. A shot of the Story Bridge in Brisbane, Australia.
2. Riverfire festival in Brisbane.
3. A view from below the Gateway Bridge in Brisbane.
Lots of great stuff in this thread lately.

I really like #3 here.

Mike, congratulations on your new 645Z. I thought you might be the last D holdout but I guess that will be me. I was wondering if your post processing technique changes much compared to the D. I understand that the Z produces very flat raw files that can take fair amount of post processing adjustment.

Love the smooth tones on that.

Love the smooth tones on that too. Wish we could get some of that cold here in SE Michigan. What skiing we have doesn't even work with 30-40s.

Here is my first go with the new to me, 28-45. Didn't prefer to change this over to portrait, but thought it balanced the shot as opposed to the original that extended x2 to the right:

Nice, congrats on the new lens! I'm hoping more good deals come along on that one one day when I have the funds handy.
I skied Mt. Brighton and Alpine Valley growing up and moved here to enjoy real skiing and winters so I feel your pain!
We were actually relatively snowless this year until it all came last week.

Matt there is a guy selling an as-new 28-45 on the buy sell forum for under $4k inc shipping. That's a freaking great deal.

Feeling good enough today to go for a little photo walk by myself with the 645D. Just a quick one close to home but it was nice to be out! The snow came this week!

Nice images. I really like your 45-85 one. I've read some reviews of that lens that call it mediocre but your shot is terrific! How do you like it all around? It's a very nice range to add to the 80-160.

Hey Robert. I loved using the D and right before I shipped it out, I shot a few A-B comparisons to the Z to give me a frame of reference in approaching the processing of the DNG files. Indeed, it is a flat looking file right out of camera but as others have mentioned, there is plenty of color information packed in there that can be manipulated. It's a keeper!

I properly baptized my new 645Z in the chilly Pacific waters of Rodeo Beach. A few surges had me quite drenched and the camera took a few hits as well.

The 45 - 85 is a great lens. If someone calls it mediocre, they either have a bad copy or don't know what they are talking about! Anyone can find faults in a lens via MFT graphs and stuff, but in the field, the 45 - 85 is fantastic. A new replacement for this would be fantastic but most likely heavy in weight and price...

The maximum aperture of f/4.5 doesn't bother me either...

I know but exceeds my balance at the moment. Just built up my 645D kit over the last few months and need to make some sales before any more big tickets items!

I thankfully didn't get wet here. That would mean hypothermia pretty quickly!

Very cool. I don't think Mt Brighton has been open once yet this year. If they have been open, it couldn't have been for long. You get back this way at all?
