Love this image, and the variety of textures is fantastic. Can you share your technique for preparing this jpeg for forum posting? You have retained an incredible amount of detail and sharpness.

Cheers,
Ross
Thanks Ross. I use sharpening for the web from Andreas Resch. It is free but I made a donation because it is very good and easy.

this is from the Lake District a couple of years back - one of those pull the car over to the side of the road and jump out scenes - getting set up allowed the shadows to sreep a little further than I originally saw it, and a couple of sheep that would have made a nice foreground to strutt off, but overall I was very happy with the lovely late summer afternoon feel. Pentax 67, 55mm lens, Lee ND soft grad, Velvia 50

I was going to comment that your picture is showing some sharpening artifacts especially in the lower left brick wall, but when I viewed the image full size I realized they are pentax forum scaling artifacts. I made a quick test of the script and I think it could be very useful, thanks for posting that.

Hello!
I really enjoy this thread, there are some amazing pictures here.
I've never shot mediumformat before, and not much film either, for that matter. I bought an old 645 a couple of weeks ago, and recently got some rolls developed. Not to happy with all the photos, and not to happy with all the scans either... live and learn. '
Anyway, here are some of them:
Looks to me like you're getting a good start on things....and already understanding: "Why medium format?"

Hi - I noticed the 'Mamiya shift with Hassy mount' on the 645Z ???....the 645Z will take Hassy V series lenses but not H series ...is that correct?

I feel quite sure your wonderful script would easily enable you to produce images of a suitable resolution for the forum

A couple more from the lakes. Went on another trip with Mark Littlejohn and we spent some time chasing the light, but never really catching it.

Pentax 645Z

DFA 35

FA 75 f/2.8

That tree has a magical quality to it.. The foggy light doesn't hurt of course, but the shape is just elemental.
