Nice photos but, I would suggest tripod mounting when using the 150mm

It was a group shoot
A tripod is not practical
I was considering a monopod
When I use the 150 in my studio, it's always on a tripod

Some from Seoul with the 645Z and my non focussing DA 25 - it is stuck at infinity - for a landscaper, there are many worse focus distances for it to be stuck at...

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Beautiful shots. These look perfectly focused to me. Did anybody else ever wonder why lens makers put AF in superwide lenses anyway?

I have had that same thought. Most, not all, my landscapes have been at infinity. Good luck on restoring lens focus, however.

Tell me about it. The first one was my own clumsy fault. The 25 and 33-55 are focus motor faults. The 25 however won't even manually focus away from infinity so though perfectly fine for 90% of shots on the 10% of the time I want close focus, I am out of luck. Both are nothing to do with any impact and the 25 is faulty for the second time but is now out of warranty. The 33-55 will focus manually just fine and the auto focus position acts as a focus lock. I sometimes hear the motor try to move the microlenses but nothing moves.

Still no news on the 28-45. Even Ricoh's social media team have gone quiet on me. Next step the UK chief executive office.

My next step would be my lawyer, and a letter to "The Haggler", a writer for the New York Times who specializes in getting to the bottom of nonsense like this. Or a letter to the chief executive, copying these other 2 and Ricoh Japan.

I'd be on a public (more public than here, which is a bit of a closed circuit...) shaming mission at this point, with the aim of receiving damages.

I get back from Korea on Thursday afternoon. The UK office for Ricoh Pentax is close to Heathrow. I have a mind to camp up outside with a placard.

Today I had the day free so I spent it walking around Gyeongbokgung Palace. At the moment they are doing evenings where they light it up between 7 and 9pm. The area around the Banquet Hall (first shot) would look absolutely stunning at twilight, but I wasn't free at that time and had to leave just as people were going in.
