Beautiful shots. These look perfectly focused to me. Did anybody else ever wonder why lens makers put AF in superwide lenses anyway?
Probably because the internet is awash (especially in regard to Zeiss glass excepting the AF Batis) with people complaining if Zeiss or anyone else release a wide angle lens without AF. If you have a decent viewfinder and good eyesight, you can focus up close and at infinity in any case.

I remember Samyang's release of the 14 f/2.8. Rumour sites were awash with "But it's manual focus - I would buy if it were AF". Similar thing with macro lenses. AF is useful for many things with them, but for the purpose they were designed for, manual focus is likely to be more accurate.

the Camdeboo is just great - Africa is very ancient land, geologically speaking, and I believe the Camdeboo mountains used to be islands in a shallow sea -one of my favourite areas

here's the mountain in another light (background) -Pentax 67, 165mm, Velvia 50
