From a recent sailing trip. Using the 645N with the 33-55mm and 55-110mm zooms with a few shots with the 200mm prime. I feel the 33-55mm/55-110 combo has been underrated. Very sharp and useful, at least on film, and not too heavy. The below shots are all 33-55mm @ 33mm.

Impressive shots, and I am impressed that you climbed the rigging with a medium format camera!

Nice one! Excellent color - it looks almost like a sepia print until the algal green pops into view.

Both this one and "Low Tide Treasure" one have a post-apocalyptic/industrial-death-zone feel.

Is there any time of year that the sun or full moon rise over those distant piers? There might be a cool photo with layers of rocky beach, water, piers, belt of venus, and moon (assuming the sky cooperates!).

Hi,
Just a quick question for the frequent flyers amongst us. Do you entrust your 645 and lenses to the baggage handlers or do you always keep them with you in hand luggage?

I ask because I have a few 1 day trips coming up soon and I'm thinking of what case to to get, a sturdy carry-on, or something else. I have a K3-II, 24-70mm, 70-200mm & Siggy 10-20mm.

I travel extensively and I rarely check lenses in and never the camera. I have the Z on a Shoulder strap which means everything else goes into the hand luggage case as a camera isn't luggage.

I have my camera and a lens or two in a Domke 5xb.....and rest of my lenses etc in a carry on..... the Domke is allowed as a second piece.... like a handbag is. I might have a 2nd body and a few other things of less value in my checked luggage.

I never put anything more valuable than my shaving kit and underwear in checked luggage. Also, I never even allow hand luggage out of my sight when on board, even when the stewardess offers to store it for me during flight. Two reasons: fear of loss and fear of delay of equipment when needed upon arrival. I learned my lessons the hard way.

P.S. If I owned a D or Z I would never let them off the strap around my neck!

I often travel with my 645Z and Lenses in https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1077478-REG/lowepro_lp36775_pro_trekk...981& which I use as my Carry-on. It fits comfortably in the Overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.

BTW, the Waist Band that comes with it, could be removed

Thanks for your replies everyone, I kinda figured as much!

I was thinking of buying a suitable carry-on that would keep clothes, laptop, camera and everything safe, like a Rimowa Classic Flight (too expensive) or a Thule Crossover Roller. But I'm guessing a carry-on plus small satchel type thing, like the Domke is a great idea.

Another couple of Fiji shots

Some nice sunsets there. I was in Fiji in 1999 with my 6x7 but found that Fiji did not have the "A" scenery that I found in Tonga, the Cook Islands or French Polynesia. Fiji does have nice sunsets though and the snorkeling is tops.
