guys, is there any way around a different WB issue on different sides of the sensor?

AFAIK two different shots manually blended are the universal solution. I can't think of any camera that allows variable WB in a single shot.

What about "Multi Auto White Balance" (available on 645Z,K-1, and recent APS-C Pentax cameras)?

I have the Z and will look into this when I can, but it isn't something that has made itself mildly available intuitively. If it exists I may find uses for it, but so far not feeling crippled by ignorance.

Not surprising. I'd imagine that most Z owners (and pro photographers) take other steps to avoid or control multi-WB issues and are shooting RAW so the camera's JPEG settings don't matter.

I've never used it but I remember reading in a K3 review that it's not very effective.

I encounter lighting issues, especially weddings where the white balance is accurate for an outdoor scene, but with the bride in her white dress in the shade of a tree, takes on a blue cast. I use Google Color Efex Pro and use the White Neutralizer to clean up the whites and other issues. Usually brushing in the changes

Thank you for posting. I was studying the Blackfoot nation for my thesis. Seeing the place is pretty special. I'd like to visit it some day...

Another one from the recent early rise. This was taken with the Pentax A 645 200mm which is not a straight out of camera star, but I am getting used to it's different behavour. Still it takes a bit of work in PP to really make the image work for me, but seems worth it on occaision.
