It's been a glorious day in Scotland. An inch of snow fell in the area - not much, but enough to give things a sparkle...What I do find is that whenever I pack extra lenses and do a walk, I never use the extra lenses. But if I didn't pick them...Walked 10 miles today in temperatures around 2 degrees C.

Nicely done. The last one really shows some sensor dust though. It's my pet peeve on the Z as it's so damn difficult to get in there to clean it, and the pixel pitch makes even the smallest dust obvious when it is stopped down.

Thank you. I'm not sure whether it is sensor dust or dust on the lens. I'd stupidly left my microfibre cloths in my hotel room so hadn't cleaned my lens.

Here are some more from yesterday and today.

A pano from the road between Kingshouse and the Glen Etive road (DA 28-45)

One across to Black Mount from just off the A82 road

This trip, I've been using my FA 400 far more - helps that I remembered to bring it! Took a trip onto the Glencoe skiing area via the chair lift.

The compression of the 400 works great with these scenes, I think. Nice shots.

A few from the most recent roll through the 6x7. All with the 105mm lens, and 20+ year-old Kodak Pro 100. I rated it at ISO 50, which seemed pretty good exposure-wise. Colors are decent too. I chalk it up to good storage by the previous owner and myself. The lab scans are acceptable for my use. To get better quality (IMHO) would probably require sending it out of state to a premium lab or investing in my own setup, which I'm not currently prepared to do.

I love the dead trees of the American Southwest--such character. (Of course I want most of the trees to stay alive...)

Pretty sure this was wide open. Should have stopped down one or two to get the full shrub in focus, but got the sort-of-miniature look going so there's that.

The rock layer underneath had a perfect grid pattern in it.

My good boy in his element on the trail. Actually we were both in our elements.
