A very rushed shot as this light was only showing itself for about one minute. Handheld with the Z and FA 150 2.8 @ F13_125th_ISO400. I didn't have a tripod with me and wouldn't have had time to set it up anyway. I regret going to f13 instead of 11 as I could have got the shutter speed up a bit above 150th but I was rushed and trying to keep my dog from running away after deer. It is far from perfect at full res but it scales down quite well. Really only showing this because it is a photograph of a truly lovely scene, rather than a truly lovely photograph of a scene. It is a view north eastwards up Loch Awe towards Ben Cruachan at the very moment the sun was setting behind the hills behind and left of this postion.

Good point! That was heavily premeditated... And now I am selling the second one ;-)

You are too modest. It's a great photograph of a great scene. Sometimes 'rushed' shots are the best, because you are operating on instinct rather than calculating how to make a great photograph. Sometimes not.

I know the feeling! The shot turned out pretty nicely despite your struggles (at web viewing res anyway).

Lovely shot - brings back memories of wonderful family holidays in the Oban area as a child.

And you were sensitive to that light and ready in short order. Well done. Perhaps you can process this one for the mood or color closer to what you felt at the time but we viewers weren't there so it's a unique photo as it is.

These are in another thread already but kind of buried. Got the Arsat 30/3.5 in the mail yesterday and took it out for a test run to the creek.
I think it's going to do for when I want wider than my 35mm on the 645D.

645D & Arsat 30/3.5

wow, great clarity from Twin Peaks!

---------- Post added 03-03-2017 at 10:52 AM ----------

And as long as we're talking about two peaks...

We had a tiny dusting of snow here on Tuesday morning - here's our local "mountain".

Mount Diablo Snow
645Z & A150/2.8

Mount Diablo Snow
645Z & 67 M*300/4 + 1.4x TC +2.0x TC (yes, two stacked teleconverters)
OK , so tried your idea of 2 stacked 67 converters - 2x plus 1.4x plus a 300mm 67 M* !!......on 645Z
3 pics attached:
pic1 is the church at 45mm on a 28-45mm DFA
pic 2 is the unprocessed image from the converter stack + 300mm of the small white plaque to the left of the church door
pic 3 is a 1:2 crop of the processed image from the converter stack + 300mm
Not a bad result!

surprisingly good.
In my case, using stacked TC's were clearly better in IQ than cropping and enlarging the no-TC sample.

OK - BTW - what method do you use for reducing from TIFF/RAW to small jpegs for posting here - yours always look v sharp!
I always seem to get a lot of detail degradation.....as in the first image above?
