hey you spotted that? it was so dark, i never saw it parked there with the door open. I suspect the driver pulled over for the night and was sleeping under a warm starry sky. Looks like a mid 30's Ford but I really don't know antique cars.

This is in the highlands just north of Jenner. Sounds like you know the stretch. We did begin at Bodega and go up near, Ft Ross, Sea Ranch, Gualala. Then drove home.

Here is one from near Salt Point State Beach:

Sea Arch
645Z & DFA 25/4
That's cool too....

Hiding in Plain SIght

Eastern screech owl in the hollow of a silver maple. I'm really excited to have this appear in the July issue of Outdoor Photographer:

Outstanding as ever Ed. What did you do to get rid of light pollution? Whatever it was, it was effective!

Thanks, Mike.

It was a very still night, so there was little movement. With branches showing obvious blurring, I used layers from single images to overlay (without straying into areas where trails show). Would not have worked had there been much movement... Nonetheless, close inspection at high res reveals there still is some.
