after 3 weeks of empty skies, we finally got clouds tonight. I made it as far as Isleton in the California Delta before I had to stop and find a comp

I thought the light might get really dramatic last night but the clouds came in low at sunset and just made the light all soft. Still nice but not quite what I was chasing.
Luna didn't seem to care!

Interesting! I haven't been to Maine since I was a little kid.
This type of granite formation is relatively unusual in Colorado and there is a quarry nearby that was used to supply granite for the State Capitol in Denver.

I like them all, but love that first one. Color works better (so far) on these.

That's my view too. The black and whites definitely work. But the colours are stronger.
