All of these are taken with my 6x7 MLU, the 105mm lens, colour on Portra 400 and the b&w on Tri-X 400.

Thanks for all of the butterfly pictures - very enjoyable! I'm interested in your technique, how do you get the shots before they leave? I've had mostly frustration in my attempts.

The shots captured are from controlled enclosure of the insects kingdom butterfly park. Here the butterfly is still not active yet. . In the wild, if its early morning before sunrise, its still possible to capture the butterfly in this position, still inactive without the sun.

Alternatively, winter photography for butterfly when its too cold to fly.

went out to McWay Falls in Big Sur California this weekend to scout out potential photo opportunities for portraits. It was my first time at this place and It was such a nice day, took the Z with the 75mm. the first two were hand held panos, the third one just caught my eye with how the lighting was.
