probably jump to Fuji GFX.
The 28-45 is quite a "walk around lens"! Better have a really good camera strap! The 45-85 is about the limit of walk-around for me, size/weight-wise....and I have to admit I haven't been using mine much lately. At first it was nearly glued to the camera, but I have been using my primes a lot more recently. Part of that was noticing that so many shots I took wound up being in the 55-ish range, so that's the lens that's now glued on, sometimes swapped with the 35. I don't miss the weight or bulk of the 45-85....

Zooming is vastly overrated. If you feel the need to schlep more than 2-3 primes, I suppose it makes a kind of sense.

Wish I'd got it for that price. Am awaiting a FA45-85 from a Japanese seller to replace my father battered one
The awaited FA 45 - 85 took 2 days to come from Japan to the UK and is sitting in customs. It could take a further 4 days to get delivered, and they are charging 6% duty and 20% VAT on top...nice...

Wow . . . those charges. We are lucky in U.S. For Japanese eBay buys, I pay the Japanese price plus freight and nothing else.

Thank you!. There was actually another 10% to the left, but I decided to crop back. As is the original file after that crop is 200mp.

Yes - the shipping was inclusive in the $430 price, but the charge by UK customs comes to £109. $430 equates to £326. So 33% of the price is added on top, including the courier's handling charge for paying the duty on my behalf...

"Handheld pano with A*300 f4"

I have that lens. Remind me not to get into a bar fight with you....

VAT. Hmmmm. It is off-putting. OTOH, you do have decent base line health care and public transportation...and other infrastructure that's not totally falling apart.

That's why I was asking about the size of the A* 300... I have the CZJ 300 in P6 mount and I tell you, that thing stays home... At 2.2 kg I don't think I could get a decent looking pano handheld...

Ouch! I live on Guernsey in the Channel Islands so when I sell on eBay to a U.K. buyer I tend to pre-pay the VAT as otherwise the buyer has to pay 20% plus an £8 handling charge. It kills my profit margin but no one likes to pay VAT on a secondhand item (nor should they but the UK government has a bit of a racket going!).

I spoke to Customs and they charge a 6% duty for camera lenses and then the 20%, and Parcelforce charge 11% as a handling charge.

Sheesh.

I'm kind of forced to declare a lesser item value so I don't pay out too much on pre-paying the VAT. I'm currently selling my 28-45mm but when it sells it will be a nerve wracking time waiting for it to be received - especially if I post it with a value of, say, £300 (£60 VAT to pre-pay)!
