This is a shot from the first roll I developed myself. It's not great, but I was just happy to get any results at all.
"Scanned" with a macro lens and using my laptop screen as a lightbox, I'm planning to continue developing myself, so I guess I should get a scanner or a proper lightbox.

Well done - I remember developing my first roll of B&W - I was very nervous indeed but happy when it turned out fine. Scanners are handy but for B&W you can get much, much better resolution from a DSLR "scan", though the result will be low in contrast unless you apply significant PP. I use flashes as a light source, inititially with a radio trigger but I now have an old flash which uses a cable and plugs into the mains, so no more worrying about having charged batteries or them overheating.

---------- Post added 12-16-17 at 01:05 AM ----------

Well I finally got around to completing some images from my Utah trip my first batch is mostly from Bryce national park in Utah

645z with the 75mm Stitched together

645Z with the FA 35mm

This one is at Kolob Canyon Zyon with the LS 135

3 picture pano with the LS 135

Last image is back at Bryce from Sunset Point. with the FA35mm. Decided to ditch Adobe and switch over to ON1 to see how it works. Still trying to get a feel for the Software but I'm liking it so far.

Your shot was worthy of publication.

Mike, ANY placement in a magazine these days is quite the accomplishment. Most of my 6x7 work went to calendars but here's one that was published by an Arizona based magazine.
