Also, no moon is pretty much a requirement. Good luck!

Lovely shot. Whenever I see your ‘the creek’ I wonder what it’s real title is and what fish live in it. It looks like fly fishing heaven. Are there bull trout in Colorado?

This is Tomichi Creek, a tributary to the Gunnison River which is a tributary to the Colorado.
Browns and rainbows in this one. Just about any moving water around here has trout of some kind, sometimes the small native cutthroat trout in tiny little flows. Fly fishing is pretty popular here and a good tourist attraction too.

Snowy day photos with Arsat 30mm fisheye.

Couple of shots with new (to me) Arsat 30mm f 3.5 on the 645D. Hoping PF does not turn the second shot, a vertical, on its side, but if so it will not be the first time!

Nice, where did you find one? I'm tempted to get another one if I can't get mine all sorted out but the 645 mount seems somewhat unusual for this lens.

Mount for mine is the Pentacon P6, and I have a P6-Pentax 645 adapter.

Thanks, didn't see this right away so don't mind my redundant PM questions. Seems like they are plentiful and cheap!

Some really great photographers here, just picked up a 645D and it won't be my last medium format camera.

Yes, although I had to wait for about a month for the delivery of my adapter. The lenses are also abundant and cheap. Prices seem to range from $150 to $350 depending upon condition, the completeness of the package (front and back caps, B&W filters, and the nice leather carrying case), and the ambition of the seller. You can also find the Arsat 30 in Hasselblad mount, and the H-P645 adapter is readily available. I would definitely try to find a lens with a front cap because the convexity of the front lens element makes it vulnerable to damage without the protective cap. It is nice to get the back cap too, but not as crucial as the front cap. The three filters are not at all important unless you are planning to use the lens for black and white photography, and in that case they are very important because there is no easy way to put a filter on the front of the lens. The leather case is great to have also with its storage in the top lid for the three filters. Good luck.

Because the filters mount at the rear, one would expect that one filter would have to be mounted at all times to keep the focal point where it is expected to be. Lack of a filter could also increase chromatic aberration at the film plane (or focal plane array), if the optics design is based on a filter being there. Is the design such that absence of a filter has only the effect of requiring a change in focus? Is the focus ring distance calibration intended for a filter being present, or not present? Note: back focus would be expected to change by approximately one-third of the filter glass thickness.

One clear glass filter was installed at the back of the mount when I received the lens. The inscription on this filter reads: "r-1.4x" (where the r appears to be an upside down L and the x appears as a superscript) AND "38x0.5"

Three additional filters are present in the cap of the leather lens storage tube. Their inscriptions may be observed in the attached photo in this order: green, amber, and clear.

I have no further information, and therefore cannot answer the two questions raised in your post.

Trusting that this information is relevant to your concerns.

Note: Sorry, the wrong photo is included, so I will post a second note with the correct photo. (Attached photo was taken with 645D and Pentax-D FA 90mm f 2.8.)
