I was thinking Jeanloup Sieff actually but I'll take the compliment

Great! Reminds me positively of fashion photography in the sixties. You may not know him but over here in Germany F.C. Gundlach was a master of this art.
Thank you
That is the exact era I was trying to emulate

Few shots with 645Z and 67/105mm

I decided to check out the highly regarded Pentax 67 105mm f 2.4, the fastest Pentax medium format lens. The lens focuses easily and renders wonderfully wide open, and I am looking for portraiture opportunities.

KIT: Pentax 645Z with Pentax 67 105mm f 2.4, all shots wide open.

First time slide time... please be nice. Taken on a walk on a sunny Sunday in south western Berlin.

All metered with Sekonic L-208. I might not have nailed it but not bad either when I look at the light table.

Fuji GW690III and Provia 100F, labscan, re-sized. The colors and the lightness (is this the correct word?) of the slides on the light table look different than the lab scan... The lab tweaked it, like they do with negative film. I might experiment with DSLR scan...

Did you try any PP on the lab scans to get colors and contrast more to your liking? These look pretty good.

Oh, I do like the colors. I just expected the scan to be a bit more accurate compared to the actual slides.

See, the lab scans and processes negative to give them a certain look, for example with Portra. That's ok and I like it. Itried some quick and dirty DSLR scan to negatives and fiddled around to invert them. To reproduce the lab scan look, it would take me ages.

However, the lab seems to apply they same "certain look thingy" to slide scanning. The scans are not way off compared to the slides, it's just a tad of processing. I just wonder whether I like the actual slide colors more. That's the good thing about slides. You have a positive with "correct" colors as starting point. I havent made up my mind yet. Slide is new to me. Anyway I will ask the lab about that.

Cheers,

Very nice, but on the other hand it is more difficult to plow and grow crops.

You make a good point. My late father said that sort of scenic country was worthless and only existed in order to hold the world together!
