Question: How long do you take to find and set up your shots?

Is there a special trash removal function in Lightroom? Or am I seeing photographer selection bias? All your photos show exceptionally clean areas, and streets without any damage to the asphalt.

Walk by the creek tonight. Ice is pretty much gone and the water is on the rise.

FA 80-160 (newly acquired copy - seems good)

Curb looks a tad grungy.

Hello, actually I am working on another book, so I know what places I want to go. It will be called 'Dune et Opale' from Bray-Dunes to Merlimont on the NW coast of France.
Also I know what kind of shots I am looking for. This makes things a lot more simple.
When I arrive in these small towns, i just start wondering around and while I am doing so i take these shots. Often i have to wait for the right light or people/cars moving out of the frame.
So I stay for a few hours to make my photographs. At night everything takes longer tripod, timer and long exposures etc.

Thanks for your interest!

Its not always like that. But I must say, unlike the US, the roads, streets and villages are extremely well kept and clean. They don't fire all the workers for the community.

Mike, thanks, appreciated!

Forgive me, I don't want this thread to get sidetracked, but it's funny that you mentioned in this post exactly what I was thinking after looking at your photo above (#11672)--that the U.S. is in fact quite filthy compared to may European countries.

Nice photos!

True, but then go to Honduras or Africa and then it seems pretty clean again!

Amsterdam and Rotterdam last time I was there were filthy--all kinds of crap in canals in Amsterdam, dirty paper and trash blowing everywhere in the streets. The two places in Europe that I found to be clean were Switzerland and Germany.

I recommend not coming to Berlin, then. I was born here and live here so I am allowed to say that... Southern Germany, of course, is quite clean.

Where can one find your books? Are they on Amazon or similar?
