Tulip season in Skagit Valley, WA. The fields were a mud pit with all the rain.

The weather has finally begun to stabilize here in the Midwest so I will be able to get out to shoot subjects other than myself. I bought a Cactus V6II transceiver so my 645D could exceed its flash sync speed of 1/125th of a second. No I can use hss up to 1/4000th of a second. The 1st pic taken below is of myself at 1/2500 with the flash at 1/8th power in full sunlight. The next two are of the camera, triggering system and field monitor.

Great photo and interesting looking system. This kind of photography is something I need to learn more about, just started playing around with leaf shutter lenses.

I am using the Neewer TT850 Speedlite/s combined with the Ft-16s trigger/receiver set. The trigger sets on top of the Cactus V6II while the receiver snaps into the side of the TT850 Speedlite which enables the 645D to exceed the 1/125ss and shoot instead at up to 1/4000.

In addition to the flash tech, I like the idea of that monitor. Does it provide higher resolution than the display on the back of the 645D?

The field monitor is a Neewer NW759 Camera Field Monitor Kit I bought form online retailer Newegg. It is a 1280x800 ips monitor which is a higher resolution than the 645Ds lcd. It also supports manual focus assist so I can use it with my Sony a6000 and manual focus lens.

Interesting lighting variations in these, judging from the eye reflections. And either you have an extremely patient make-up artist or your models have been drinking Rahway river water for too long.

Very impressive.

I am studying how to put together this same system for my 645D/645Z set of cameras. I have tried to look up each component on eBay, and actually I am a little surprised that the costs seem pretty reasonable. I hate to bother you with ignorant question, but hope you will help me.

1. What is the exact name of the RotaCam strobe frame, and where can it be purchased?
2. I think I have all the components figured out except for one item, and that is the component that fits directly on top of your 645D in the hot shoe. I am thinking that the Cactus V6II is a two-part set, with one part serving as the base for the off-camera flash unit and the other part fitting into the on-camera hot shoe. Then the second part above the hot shoe would be the Neewer FT-16 16-channel Trigger Transmitter Receiver.
3. I am assuming that you need a base for each off-camera flash unit, meaning one base for each flash unit, but only one unit in the camera hot shoe.
4. Are there any cables, fasteners, or other connector elements needed to assemble the system?

Sorry to sound so obtuse, but hoping you can help.

Thank you very much.
