A road and foreground building construction that is almost Escher like. The levels, set-backs, and repairs invoke a sense of historical wonder that greatly exceeds their likely commercial or architectural importance. Unfortunately for me, this is a scene I could have walked past and considered interesting, but would never have thought to photograph.

Thanks for the view.

A hike through Ganoga Glen. It's been a long time since posting anything on PF but the long winter broke last week and I thought I would finally take the 645Z for a walk. Not much color in the woods yet around here as the very cold temperatures and snow until last week have everything developing 3 weeks later than usual. I'll return here in a few weeks and hopefully there will be more pizzazz in the woods.

I applied a little Orton effect to add a little dreamlike touch.

Couple with experimental new lens.

Here are a couple of snaps with an experimental setup: the 645D with Arsat B 250mm f 5.6. I bought this lens not realizing that it is actually a medium format lens. It fits on the Pentax 645 mount by means of two adapters: Arsat B - Pentacon 6 and then P6 - P645. The lens represent good value as it is capable of producing photos such as the ones attached right out of the camera for a new purchase price of only $60. The lens came with caps, hood, and soft storage case.

Glens Natural Area

These are two more images from Sundays hike through the Glens Natural Area. The PP is finished off with some mild Orton Effect which demonstrates the peace and solitude I feel when photographing here.

The First is Erie Falls (47 feet)

...and the second is B. Reynolds Falls (40 feet) and is a two image merge.

This was my first use of the 645Z I finally got around to buying. I have not done much medium format since my 645N days, but decided I might as well put the collection of lenses to good use. This is a potent camera and I am looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Horse Head Rock

645Z with 25mm f4 DA

New South Wales really does have some lovely rock formations if you're prepared to go looking for them. Oh, and work out when tide, moon phase and weather permits!

#3 Looks like you inveigled Claude Monet to come out of retirement.

Now you mention it, I see what you mean. I'm not going to claim that was my aim. I deliberately shot for the highlights as I knew with the Z I could bring out the shadows with little or no pain.
