@mikeSF that is a Milky Way master class! How many images do you use for these compositions?

If only that’s what the blues looked like outside of Greece!?

Loving the pet posts, keep them going. I've got none to add but when the tide shifts I will throw up a landscape or two, LOL.

Right lighting (side lit and no harsh shadows), right model.

thanks. i vary my workflow. That one was single frame(non pano) with about 13 stacked star shots, median blended.

I met Ed Hurst in San Francisco Saturday evening for a thorough run around the city.

Here is a pano from Russian Hill using the DFA90mm on the 645Z

From Russian Hill
645Z & 90/2.8

click it a couple of times to see it larger in flickr

Clematis Rosy Cheeks

MikeSF, what a magnificent use of the 90mm for your view of SF, grand in the flickr version. I can only counter with this view of a clematis climbing on my garden pergola.

KIT: 645Z with Pentax 67 105mm 2.4.

300mm as a portrait lens?….you must have a big (or long) studio!

Thanks, the shoot was one of my most challenging physically, lugging equipment places with no pavement in extremely hot and humid weather with light fading and trying to direct a very young, new model. So much effort, planning and work went into the shoot and it has my fewest likes on Instagram haha

You actually don't need a very long studio for the 300mm if shooting tight portraits. My studio is pretty small, I back up about 10ft.
