It's been quite a while since I posted anything of my own on here. These were taken last night with the Z and the Pentax 645 A 200. I really think the lens lineup could do with a modern design in and around 200mm, but this lens can produce acceptable results in post.

These two shots are of a estuary of the River Add flowing into Loch Crinan with the mountains of Mull in the distance.

The second photo is great!

New and old

London is rich with possibilities for setting historical buildings against new structures. Although I am, by preference, an architectural traditionalist, it does make for some striking contrasts. I've embarked on a project to capture such combinations, so this, I hope, will be the first of periodic posts like this.

The Tower of London and The Shard

645Z with 120mm f4 A

Tower Bridge with City Hall (no, that is not lens distortion - the building really is that shape!)
645Z with 28-45mm f4.5 DA @ 28mm

The Gherkin and various buildings under construction, from Tower Bridge

First and third images look stellar on my big screen....just traded my 67 300mm M* for the 645 300mm AF (with some misgivings as the 67 lens produces such great images), as the 200g weight saving and added tripod foot are necessary with such an unwieldy lens IMHO....hope the 'Green Ring' performance is as good as the 67 version….my used version is on the way from Japan....

Great photos. But I wonder whether visiting aliens looking out their UFO windows would conclude that earthlings had somehow recently lost their knowledge of the level and plumb bob.
