Some from last weekend, with the 645Z and 25mm..
Glad to see these! I just did a shoot yesterday at the Cleveland Museum of Art of a traveling exhibition my museum organized. For the interior shots, I used the 25 the entire time---never took it off. It was my first time using it extensively. I was really surprised, but it was tight quarters inside the galleries for the most part, and where it wasn't I needed the expansive view. As I had a 6.5 hour drive after the shoot to get home I haven't even looked at the images yet, but I'm very glad to hear that LR handles the distortion so well.

I took a speculative trip up to Rannoch Moor as deeply mixed weather was forecast. All these were shot with the Z and the 90mm macro handheld the first is a handheld panorama of 4 protrait shots stitched in PS CS6. The second is a single handheld shot and the third a stack of two handheld images. The loch is called Loch Ba and the rock reminds me of a crocodile's head. The weather sealing of both camera and lens came in useful to say the least.

Great work with a fine kit. I have the same camera and lens, and will begin watching for some "moody weather" photographic opportunities.

I live just south of Cleveland, so you must let me know when you are in Cleveland again. I would love to watch you working . . . and of course the Cleveland Museum of Art is one of my favorite places to visit.

Great set....love the colours and 'action'...assume strobes used to freeze the action?...but synched at1600th sec by HS?
I use the Priolites to freeze the motion
Thank you for the compliment

I’ll bet it was a dim studio and used conventional flash sync at 125 or so. Controlled studios are wonderful things.

But perhaps you looked at the EXIF, which I cannot do here.

I particularly like the next-to-last scooter shot.

Really bright studio strobes will have a duration longer than 1600 in any case. My Speedotrons will clip a bit even at 1/500 if I run a bulb at its maximum 800ws.

I use the Priolites to freeze the motion
No need to darken the studio
At 1/1600 (to freeze all the motion especially the feet) & f/8 (for more DoF because I don't know exactly the location of the final position of the model) I need to pump up the ISO to about 800
The strobes aren't true High Speed Sync but rather "long duration"
The lights "burn longer" although I do boost the power output a stop or more than the usual settings I use at sync speed (1/125)

By the way, thank you for the compliments

Some Batman music would be great with those pictures, Tom.

Actually, I'll be back in Cleveland on the 30th. But I'm pretty sure the photo part of my job will be over---I'll be in the thick of de-installing the Yayoi Kusama show (I am the tech rep for the tour). But I'd be happy to meet up if you like. I'm staying over on Grandview ave near NightTown and Dave's market. I'll have a car. I think I will bring my kit with me....
