Thanks Tuco! I love TXP, it has lovely tonality and it will be a sad day when my supply runs out. Most of what I have is 220 size that expired in 2007/8 so I expose at ISO 250 then process normally in HC-110B.

Nice shot with a P67 of the parachutist. I’ve noticed a fair amount of 200/4s on the Bay for sale very cheap; how do you like that lens?

It was the 67 generation (updated optics) of the 200mm and it's a good lens. But I don't have it anymore. Years ago I sold it and got the 165/2.8 because I wanted a more compact lens to carry around. The 200/4 seems to have more housing length than it really needs. I haven't got around to replacing it because I now have the M* 300mm to use. I have a stash of 320TXP in the freezer but I'm not shooting it up for some reason.

The first shot is one that I posted a few days ago of the scene from the Shard. The second one includes a sky that occurred earlier the same evening, composited onto the same scene.

Which do you prefer...?

First is much better...the eye is not distracted from the subject of the city lights by the somewhat unnatural looking sky.....IMHO....

Very fine B&W image, exposure and contrast wise. I tried to get out recently when we had the snow, but things didn't work out that morning.

I don't notice much if any in the way of change. Not being funny, but it would be nice if in the future you ask before copying my image which is on flickr with All Rights Reserved. What have you done to the image and what is the reasoning - perhaps I am going blind but I don't notice it...

My apologies for not asking first, all I did was remove the power lines or gondola cables that were in the image. There was the option to download the image on flickr, so that is what I did to do the removal. I have not used the altered photo anywhere else, just posted it on here as I thought it was a great shot.

I can still see the cables in the posted image by you. Just checked again and the first image has them removed the second not

I posted both to show what I did with a side by side. I was not trying to offend you, and I can see how it can be taken that way by me posting an altered shot of the photo, which is like me saying " hey this looks better" it was more of a friend saying those pesky cables are in the view of a great shot.

Messing around at the cabin. No flash meter, no light modifiers, just using the power and guide settings on the back of three small flashes and hope for the best.

Thanks. You can see the legs of a little desktop tripod behind the rocking chair. That flash was much too strong of course. One was by the window to the right of the camera and the other just next to the left of the camera as a fill. Fun times we had playing around and trying different things at the man cave.
