But why a tripod by ISO 100, f10 and 1/125?
In short, for sharpness! I'm not steady enough to get a sharp shot with this gear and conditions while keeping ISO low. It's a big heavy body with a big heavy lens on it.

I was shooting a 300mm lens and on the mono shot it had a 1.4x TC with it for an effective 420mm. If I followed the old reciprocal rule for handheld shooting, I'd need a shutter speed of at least 1/300 or 1/420. I like to shoot this old camera at ISO 100 whenever possible and pretty much never over 400 or the noise is just too much.

In addition, I just like a tripod for landscape or architecture photos. It makes me think about composition more and I get better photos.

Heh—you needed a headphone cord with a 1/4” phone plug for that subject.

I constructed this life saving Battery pack by soldering in series and this is the second one waiting to be used when necessary.

Ingenious
Replacement battery holders are rare and I can see this type of solution could work well if it's not too difficult to install securely.

It is easy to do, if someone wants I do a tutorial on it.
