OK, I was being facetious. I like color and black and white both. One isn't better than the other.

Nice photos. Makes one wonder why at least two houses adjacent to each other have two-toned color jobs with orange in the middle, perhaps a local custom?

Initial trial shots using 645Z with Pentax 645 135mm f 4.0 LS in leaf shutter mode. Critical comments are invited, but gentleness is appreciated since this is my first such effort!

SETTINGS: 1/250 shutter on LS lens, 1/4 on camera shutter, at f 8.0 and 100 ISO, manual mode on camera, manual setting on flash at lowest (1/16) level. Minimal editing for slight skin imperfections.

Three garden shots on a rainy, soggy, foggy Monday morning.

KIT: 645Z with Pentax 645 135mm f 4.0 LS in non-LS setting at f 4.0. The 135mm is a nice sharp lens for regular, non-LS use, maybe a little sharper than actually needed for portraiture.

NOTE: EXIF data identifies the 645 135mm/4 as an A Series lens. It is not. It operates like an M series K-mount lens. This means that you have to set aperture manually. You can use either Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (Av) modes,and of course it is a manual focus lens.

QUESTION: Is there any interest in an LS Lens Club? As far as I know, there are four Pentax LS lenses: 645/75mm/2.8, 645/135mm/4.0, 67/90mm/2.8, and 67/165mm/4.0.

It doesn't look like you will run out of colorfully painted buildings, thankfully. I suppose these flamboyant paint jobs make it easy to describe to one's visitors just which section one occupies.

Well, despite the best efforts of my dad and I, the RB67 film back still possesses at least one light leak:

It's only on the one frame, though, and it looks like a comet...very confused as to what part of the seals was not seal-y enough for this to happen. Any ideas?

Damn. It reminds me of when you open a door by a very small amount and there is a strong light source inside the room, if that makes sense. So is there perhaps a small 'crack' somewhere on the film back? Perhaps in a corner?
Hopefully someone else will have seen similar before.

The corners would make sense, those are harder to seal up. Though this is pretty dramatic and also very specific to that frame, so who knows (maybe somebody on this forum)? Pro SD film backs (that don't use foam seals) seem to be hard to come by...hopefully I can fix this one up enough to use it without worrying.
