Great shot Matt, gives me some inspiration to put more effort into my D and A*300/4 combo.

I remember you're mention of this in your post Alaska report. Amazing shot under the circumstances.

I'm mulling over whether to go for the
1.4x or 2x for my A*300/4 - for when my 67 500/5.6 is a tad burdensome (having managed to resist a 67 600/4)...
Thanks for this and the other kind comments.
I have access to some great subject matter so that always helps!
I think the 645D and A*300 do very well together. For landscapes it takes a certain amount of open space. And being careful about focus and camera shake.
I have the 1.4x that goes with that lans and it seems pretty good but I have not used it a whole lot. Here's one that worked out.

That ain't sport. That's trad!

Edit:
Medium format trad sounds like a rad concept. Like as if lugging the trad equipment rack up the cliff wasn't badass enough...

Yes, it is the Arsat fisheye, bought it mail order from Ukraine with the Pentax 645 mount.

Interesting. I did not know the Arsat 30 was available in P645 mount. I have it in Pentacon mount, which works fine with the adapter.

Post your medium format photos!

Speaking of fisheyes...

West Head, Tuckernuck, 2012. Pentax 67, 35mm Pentax Fisheye, Ektar 100 scanned in Nikon 8000ED.

It’s a lo-res image, but, of course, the original meets my requirement for making a 16x20 print with no loss of the illusion of endless detail.

I had an Arsat 30 in P645 mount but it looked like it was a homemade Frankenlens, not an actual production model.
After a couple of years the mount was coming off the lens so I got another one, this time also with a Pentacon mount and that has been solid.

I remember that Matt. When are you going to give it a try on some of that beautiful scenery you have out there?
