I remember that Matt. When are you going to give it a try on some of that beautiful scenery you have out there?
Well it takes a special scene for that lens and I don't typically just carry it so I'm not sure but probably after the snow melts and it's easier to get around. Hiking or skiing with that 645 kit can be a bit much!

Speaking of fisheyes...

West Head, Tuckernuck, 2012. Pentax 67, 35mm Pentax Fisheye, Ektar 100 scanned in Nikon 8000ED.
I should use my P67 35FE more often, I prefer to use it with the WLF so I can see the edges of the frame (I don't carry the WLF often).

If you keep the horizon dead level and central, it works OK on the 645D without appearing fishy.

Yes, any straight line that goes through the center of the frame won’t be curved. The image I posted from Alaska does that.

But sometimes the curved horizon imparts a desirable effect. Here’s the non-fisheye alternative to the West Head photo.

Ok, I got the old Arsat 30/3.5 out just for Ivan here. And maybe because he reminded me it hadn't been used in a while.

It seemed to do just fine!

One with the A 35/3.5 too.

Great study in blue, and does not look very fishy either!

I recently picked up this lens. The roll I shot with it, I was blown away by the sharpness. I was not expecting it. Great photo BTW.
