Average developing time BW film development is not difficult. It's when you get a densitometer and take it to the next level with the zone system of metering and developing that takes time to master. And going from the negative to making a computer screen image is often more of a challenge than the film development.
C-41 color is not difficult either once you have some basic gear. And you can develop at 30C temperature too with kits like the Tetenal ColorTect kit. But, again, often going from color negative to computer screen image can be the difficult part.
