Mona Vale ocean pool - in Sydney's Northern Beaches - was originally built in the 1930s by unemployed men. Its exposed position has led it to need rebuilding more than once since, but certainly provides a bracing swim!

Seen here in the peace of night.

645Z with 28-45mm lens @ 36mm

Fascinating!

Do you have to search for a long time to find these gems, or are they relatively commonplace in your preferred roaming locations?

Thanks! I tend to walk a lot and force myself into a lucky serendipity to my taste.

Got my 28-45mm yesterday and went to the canyon up the street. The light was pretty good, maybe a little harsh. This was one of the first shots I took with it. I really like the lens. Clarity and contrast is excellent. Shot at Sloan Canyon, Southern Nevada on 645z.

Side shot after the sun had set a little more.

Very nice! May I ask what the parameters were of this shot? I.e., shutter time, ISO, lens and aperture.

Thanks

Lovely work. I am enjoying this thread.
This thread has absolutely some of the best work on the forum, and not just because it is medium format.

Camera shy bumble bee working a two-day-rain soaked Purple Jem rhododendron flower. [ 645Z / DFA 90 mm macro / AF160FC ringlight ] Enough dials and buttons now to satisfy the most avid control freak. Now to learn how to use them.

I find it surprising that the EXIF file doesn't mention P-TTL or the flash. The digital 645s are not mentioned in the flash manual, printed in 2008, so communication may be insufficient. The collapsible "roundflash" can be used with an AF540 flash as a ringlight, but the 645 SR lenses are difficult to use with it due to their diameter.
