Breathtaking image! Composition is stellar and all the subtle colors and shadings are wonderful. The 600 with 1.4 is darn sharp. Was this wide open or stopped down?

Beautiful winter capture. So peaceful looking. Reminds me to try the 6X7 165 on the 645Z.

Thanks for sharing,

Great shot Mike. Again you have captured a unique, imaginative view of a typical subject.
...and I also wonder if inmates are enjoying their privileged opportunity.

That is pretty, with the tree blossoms peeking through the snow. We had heavy snow without any sticking here in S. NH.

Thank you for your kind words. The blossoms are apple rather than plum.

thanks barondia! I always stop the 600 down to f/7.1 or so, as it is too soft near wide open. The best technique tip, though, is i hang a 4th leg, my monopod, from the camera body. The legs do not need to be locked firmly, just grazing the ground works fine for attenuating so extra vibration.

The "shakey" tree images are very creative and fabulous.

Morning sunlight in Ohio

Scenes from front and back of our home. Sunlight seems to be the theme of the day following a hard overnight frost.

KIT: Z with Pentax 67 55mm f 4.0, one of my favorite landscape lenses.

Ivan:

In the top photo, there seem to be some quasi-vertical lines in bright green near the fence. Is the camera in Fuji film emulation mode, or is there some more likely explanation?

Actually, that is a steel trellis with green vines growing on it (assuming we are looking at the same thing).
