Sweet.
Today I took my Pentax 67 out for the first time shooting Provia 100F. I picked up an E-6 kit and we will soon see. On one hand I want to shoot a roll, develop it and see if my metering needs tweaking before continuing. But on the other, I want to shoot enough film to justify mixing the kit in case I don't do more soon.

Thank you Tuco! Yes, that's always the dilemma; I basically rolled the dice and went with the large quantity of film path. I figured my meter was working well enough with all the B&W I was doing to build confidence it its performance (and I realize there are more variations and "slop" with B&W), but for me when I shoot E-6, it's rarely one roll at a time, but usually in batches (such as traveling to a national park for a week-long visit).

I like the second one with the kayak, Ed. If I was to think of Sydney, I'd form a mental image of a beautiful, sunny and warm place like I might if I thought of Hawaii. Probably from pictures/TV I've seen while growing up. But when you post images with foul weather, it's starting to cloud that mental image with the realization that you can't always have postcard weather.



I'm slowly learning the dynamic range of this film. And it feels like it reacts to shadow exposure a lot like a 'short-toe' BW film.

Thank you! It's really a product of a few things:
- Shooting through rainy weather on a long lens
- Sea spray in the air
- The sun rising in the background, leading not just to backlighting/silhouetting but also a softness of colour through the rain/spray
- Maybe something about the compression of perspective on the long lens as well, making it seem real but unreal!

Pentax 645Z with Pentax A 120 macro. 1:1 lifesize wasn't enough magnification so I added Pentax # 1 & 3 automatic extension tubes, It was windy, so I used a modified Plamp to hold the plant and ISO 6400 to stop the ants and aphids. I couldn't have pulled this shot off with the old K-7. 6400 ISO on that camera looks like a confetti storm.

Nice nice tones. The contrast between positive and negative images is so good with the trees. Also the foreground is seriously cool with the speckled colors.

Super photos. The kayak photo is like a sci fi film where the inter dimensional rift opens and the large ships appear. Fascinating image.

Nice one Ed. I can imagine the white-knuckle ride those passengers are experiencing. The waves in the foreground makes the ferry experience 'tangible'.
